St. Stephen Protomartyr presents "SSP Live"
Saint Stephen Protomartyr developed their first news program to be aired live to students once each week in the new school year. It took lots of patience and endurance on the part of students and adults, but they believe the effort was well worth it. The first show for the end of the year is here. It is secure on a secure You Tube channel.
St. Joan of Arc prepares for the Sacrament of Confirmation
Saint Joan of Arc School hosted a dinner meeting for Confirmation students, their sponsors, and their parents. It was a time for faith sharing and learning about the sacrament. First and second graders made beautiful place mats for the Confirmation students.

Marian Middle School Students Work to End Child Hunger
Students at Marian Middle School participate in a Culinary Arts Program after school and they were very interested in trying to stamp out child hunger. They joined hands with others through Con Agra Foods and Schools Fight Hunger. Their service was noted in a recent local and popular blogger.
You can read more about their efforts and the impact it is making on others by reading the blog post on Extraordinary Mommy.
Students at Marian Middle and all of our Catholic Schools in St. Louis know they have a responsibility to care for others and to give service to their community.
St. Roch Students Create and Dance
St. Roch Catholic School fourth graders will show off their handmade hats in an outdoor performance sponsored by Springboard for Learning’s Red Thread Service Project. Under the guidance of textile artist Lindsey Obermeyer, St. Roch fourth graders and teacher Sarah Christian partnered with fourth grade classes in the Hazelwood, Ritenour, Rockwood, Kirkwood and St. Louis Public School Districts to knit hats and choose a charitable organization to which they would donate them. This year, St. Roch will donate their hats to St. Martha's Hall. (Last year the hats went to St. Patrick Center.)
A dance instructor visited each school to teach the children how to do an African hat dance, which they performed together at Laumeier Sculpture Park on Nov. 4. Their hats were connected by a red thread to demonstrate the connectedness necessary for a stable community.
